emmanuelgI live in an area of the Pacific Northwest where there is a seasonal risk of wild fires. There are a lot of forests around here, and it often happens that, whether from lightning strikes or careless fires, they periodically burn. This year has been extremely dry, and temperatures have broken new records-- The town of Lytton BC, not too far from me, recorded a temperature of 125 deg F, higher than the highest recorded temperature in Las Vegas, Nevada. The same day, wildfire swept through the town and burned it to the ground.
This brings us to the perennial question for folks around here-- "Will My House Burn Down This Year?"
