To Retire or Not To Retire?

emmanuelg I am old, getting older, yet still working full time--
If we lived in more stable times, I would probably retire; But these are NOT stable times!
My wife and I might be able to live on our meager savings plus Social Security (US), but if US Social Security stops, we are hooped. The intensive licensing requirements in my line of work would make it VERY difficult for me to go back to work if I stopped working. OTOH, do I want to work until I drop dead in the shop one day? Maybe its not an either-or, but something in between that could be possible?

Will it be best for my wife and I if I retire in 2025?

Other comments:
I usually do a house chart, but this time I felt that Spiritus Mundi was leaning me over to the Shield Chart. This seemed like a pretty clear message.
Fire Line: 3rd Daughter VIA -- Change is at the root of this decision. So, major changes ahead?
Earth Line: 2nd Mother FORTUNA MAJOR -- Success in building up through a difficult struggle. Yep, the struggle is real...
