At the end of the previous comment, it occurred to me that Geomancy also has utility to find out _when_ something is likely to happen: Reference: APG pg 148-149. I had a good think about the structure of the question. I could have said, "how many days until the house burns down?" but I am no longer sure that it will burn completely down. I could have said, "How long until fire or wildfire arrives at our house?" but just 'fire' could be any sort of fire, like a lit candle on the porch. And wildfire could arrive at our house without damaging anything. So to be more specific, I chose the following:
Reading 1. 7 July 2021 How many days until destructive fire arrives at our house? Selections: Shield Chart Numeric value associated with Quesited. Mothers: Cauda Drac, Cauda Drac, Carcer, Cauda Drac.
Quesited is Puer. From the table, the value is 79 or 120 --days by definition. July 7 is the 188th day of 2021, so 188+120 = Day 308. or 188+79= Day 267. Day 308 is Thursday Nov 4 2021 Day 267 is Friday Sept 24 2021.
Which one? I vaguely remembered that if you want the event to happen, choose the sooner date, and if you don't want it to happen choose the later date. When I re-read the guidelines in APG, the discussion on page 149 included, "...whether the significators perfect, whether favorable or unfavorable figures occupy the cardines, and so on...."
From this, it appears that JMG was using the quesited from the House Chart, not the Shield Chart!
I decided to do another divination;

The court looks positive to me; Witness 1 Via signifying changes; Witness 2 Conjuctio signifying people helping us; Carcer as Judge would possibly be security of defense.
Cardines: I Beginning Via Change X Middle Albus Wisdom/Passivity VII End Cauda Drac -- A very definitive ending, so possibly it will burn down after all. IV Aftermath Acquisitio -- Something gained.
Acquisitio passes to XII, Conjunct with Querent in I. Puella shows up in VIII and VI, so possibly the goddess of my recent acquaintance is intervening in some way.
Taken together, it was stunning to me that both readings brought up 79 days.
I decided to calculate the ratio of dots to 96 for a more precise time measurement:
Reading 1: 89 dots. 89/96 x 79 days = 73.24 days, or about 6 AM on 18 Sept 2021.
Reading 2: 90 dots. 90/96 x 79 days = 74 days, or just after midnight on 19 Sept 2021.
These remarkable results are also very favorable for me. If the timing is correct, I still have time to cut the trees, clear the brush and re-side with Hardy Board!
