It occurred to me that I had not asked Spiritus Mundi if the missing person SH were dead--

When I tried to do a reading on this, I rolled Rubeus right away, and stopped. Interpreted that to be saying, 'You already know in your spirit that SH is dead.'

I also asked SH's spirit where her body is located. I got an image of a dirt road on a mountain, the curve of a switchback with large cobbles on the downhill edge of the road. There are a lot of logging roads around here..

A note on which house for the quesited in these questions--

In the initial reading, I thought it might be house VIII. Found what I remembered on pg 108 of APG, “...The eighth house also governs questions about circumstances affecting absent or missing persons....” In his comment on Magic Monday, JMG did not seem to think this was a bad choice, and felt that Fortuna Major passing from VIII to XI might indicate hope that she might be found. However, discussion on APG page 162 indicates that house VII might also be appropriate.

Part of fortune is “2” = Populus. So from the table on APG page 143, the direction is “North.”

I was not sure this was a good way to ask. So I tried again, using the '12 Winds Compass' method described in APG pp 142 – 143;

Taking VIII as the house for missing persons, I get Rubeus. From the table pg 143, NNW. This is pretty consistent for direction, and seems to point a line towards Adams Lake.

Querent and Quesited are both Albus, and the Judge is Populus, so I take that as an emphatic 'Yes.'

I decided to follow the NNW Compass bearing from Sorrento, and ask Y/N questions about areas with logging roads. Here, I ran into some problems with Geography. I didn't realize that you get to see the names of the mountains only if you zoom in on the image in Google Maps. The mountain I was looking at turns out to be 'Samatosum Mountain,'

Querent Carcer, Quesited Populus, Judge Carcer. Looks like an emphatic “No!” Well, other parts of earlier readings indicated she was middling far away.

Fort major, Via, and Fort Minor for Querent, Quesited and Judge. Looks like a 'Yes.'

Harp mountain is quite a long distance from me, and it has a lot of logging roads. I may try some other divination methods like map scrying to see if I can narrow it further. If I get enough information, I may be able to go hiking in the area, and see what I can find.
