Recently SDI and I discussed strength and weakness of different Geomantic characters in the house chart. It is related to the planetary joys in Astrology. A given Geomantic figure has a house in the house chart where its character or message is amplified, and a house where its character is weakened. In readings where this occurs, it can add to the results of the readings.
I began to wonder if there was a big picture in the strong and weak houses, so I made the following House Chart with the characters placed in their houses of strength and weakness:

In this diagram, there are two instances of each figure. The red figure indicates placement in a house of its strength; The blue figure indicates placement in its house of weakness.
Notice that there are different numbers of characters in different houses. Four houses have two characters, and eight houses have three figures. I expected that some of the houses would be entirely peopled with weak figures and others with strong--but they all have mixed company.
I added a blue border to houses where weak placement predominates, and a red border to houses where strength predominates. The pink borders are in those houses with one strong and one weak character each. I am not sure of the significance of a house that is predominantly strong, weak or neutral-- Topic for meditation, I suppose! Strong, weak and neutral houses have radial symmetry around the axis of the House diagram. And speaking of Axes...
Axis / Axes:
Note how the house of strength and the house of weakness for any given figure are at opposite ends of an axis through the center of the house diagram; Rubeus, for example is strong in II and weak in VIII, while Cauda draconis is weak in II and strong in VIII.
Considering the character of the houses, If it were up to me, I would have reversed the placements of some figures. Amissio, the figure of loss and generosity, is weak in II but strong in VIII. Shouldn't loss be strong in VIII, the house of death, and weak in II, the house of things precious? The placements of Rubeus, on the other hand, make sense to me.
Practical use: For now at least, I would probably examine an axis if it has matching characters; if the strong and weak characters appear in their houses, in order or reversed.
